Trisha Johnson


Owner & Clinical Director (MSW, LCSW)

Trisha Johnson has over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings. She specializes in trauma, mood disorders, eating disorders, school refusal, and school related issues. Trisha pulls from Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy frameworks to assist each client in becoming curious around patterns that are no longer serving them to become a more authentic and connected version of themselves.

Trisha Johnson currently works as a SD54 Behavior Coach, assisting school teams in creating plans to help students thrive. Prior to founding Trisha Johnson Therapy Group, Trisha spent six years as a School Social Worker in SD54 where she helped students and their parents navigate the educational environment and its impact on students' mental health. She has also spent time as a Treatment Supervisor with Abraxas in Woodridge, Illinois, and a Community Support Specialist with Thresholds in Chicago, Illinois. 

Trisha received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Northern Illinois University and her Masters in Social Work from Aurora University, where she also served as the Secretary of the Human Rights Organization. During her time at Aurora University, she also was a lead coordinator of a mental health grant that focused on youth participatory leadership. 

She has published multiple articles and presented at numerous conferences around the world including Kampala, Uganda and San Francisco, California. 

When Trisha isn’t working, you can find her spending time with her family, reading, or spending time outdoors.

Samantha Bugay


Therapist (MSW, LSW)

Samantha is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both educational and therapeutic settings. Prior to joining TJTG, she has worked as a social worker at Walter R. Sundling Junior High and Greenwood Elementary School, where she provided therapeutic support, developed response-to-intervention plans, and taught social-emotional support lessons.

Samantha has also worked as an outpatient mental health therapist and crisis interventionist at Holding Hope Services where she provided high quality, compassionate mental health therapy to clients. She has previously held roles as an assistant director at Kids & Company and a preschool teacher at Kindercare.

Samantha specializes in anxiety, trauma, depression, gender identity, and substance abuse. Her approach is client-centered and non-judgmental, with a goal to provide a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions. Her objective is to help clients identify and achieve their goals while providing them with the necessary tools to overcome any obstacles that may arise.

Samantha is a licensed social worker and holds a master's degree in social work from Aurora University, as well as a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from National Louis University. She is a member of the IASSW and NASW and holds certifications in CPI and LSCI. In addition, she volunteers at Chicagoland Dog Rescue and Feed My Starving Children.

Karen Joseph


Therapist (MSW, LSW)

Karen is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with extensive experience working in varied settings including private practice and therapeutic day schools. She has a deep passion for working with children and adolescents within the neurodiverse population.

Karen is a licensed social worker and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois Chicago and her Master's in Social Work from Aurora University. She has a background in providing social emotional learning to students in both individual and group settings.

Karen utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strengths Based Therapy as evidenced based interventions in her practice. She provides acceptance and an empathetic approach in her practice in order to give support for individuals experiencing anxiety and depression. She also focuses on teaching social emotional skills with the aim of increasing transference of newly learned skills in various settings.

During her free time Karen enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and being involved in her community.

Sierra Creevy


Therapist (MSW)

Sierra is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in educational and childcare settings. She previously served as an educator at Schaumburg School District 54, engaging with students from kindergarten to 6th grade.

For the past year, Sierra has worked as an outpatient mental health therapist in both private and community settings. Her approach prioritizes compassion, patience, and curiosity to provide optimal support to her clients.

Sierra's focus areas encompass trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavior. She highly values fostering a safe and collaborative client-therapist relationship. Her communication style is non-judgmental and centered on the client, aiming to empower them throughout their therapeutic journey.

Sierra holds a master's degree in social work from Aurora University, and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Elmhurst College.

Outside of her professional commitments, Sierra enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading, and pursuing various crafts and creative endeavors.

Lizzy Linnane


Therapist (MS, LPC)

Lizzy is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with experience in middle school, high school, college, and private practice settings. From adolescents 12+ to middle aged adults, much of her experience is with anxiety, depression, trauma, bullying, grief and loss, PTSD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), communication skills, athletes, and career coaching.

Lizzy is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Religion from Carthage College and received her Master’s degrees in Counseling with specialization in School Counseling and Sport and Exercise Psychology from Northern Illinois University along with receiving her Trauma-Informed Counseling Certificate.

On the sport psychology side Lizzy helps athletes with mental performance skills such as pre-performance routine, imagery, breathing techniques, reset mantra, positive self-talk and goal setting. She enjoys working with athletes that play softball, basketball, swimming, baseball, football, golf, wrestling, figure skating, soccer and dance. She also has experience coaching softball at Conant High School and basketball at Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy (6-8 grade). She loves working with student-athletes and helping them achieve their goals.

Lizzy uses a plethora of therapeutic approaches such as Client-Centered, Strength-Based, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Creative Arts, as well as Spirituality-Centered counseling when requested. She strives to make clients feel heard and understood in their journey, while providing them with skills to achieve their goals.

When Lizzy isn’t working with her dedicated clients she is spending time with family, friends, and her pup, Princess Leia. She self cares by doing yoga, going for walks in nature, and crafting.

Christopher Glatt


Therapist (MA, LPC)

Christopher is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with extensive experience working in varied settings such as schools, mental health centers, community health centers, and private practice.

Christopher is a Licensed Professional Counselor who began his journey of helping those in need while serving those afflicted by Hurricane Katrina, in New Orleans. It was there that Christopher found a passion to aid those who struggle with the emotional issues that followed the disaster that struck the city.

After seeking a university that would offer both a mission work approach, as well as clinical, Christopher graduated with a BA in Clinical Counseling from Trinity International University, Deerfield, and obtained his MA in Clinical Counseling from Roosevelt University, Chicago.

Christopher has a varied background of experience beginning with volunteering for Hospice Adolescent Respite care, working with individuals with varying intellectual disabilities within home, community, and school settings. Christopher utilizes an eclectic approach to counseling, often using CBT/DBT, Person-Centered, Behavioral, and Positive Psychology. Christopher believes that compassion, empathy, and love are the foundations for both channeling support for the client, as well as growth within themselves.

In his free time, Christopher greatly enjoys playing music, collecting vinyl records, going to concerts, and exploring the great city of Chicago with his fiancé.

Allison Kasbee


Therapist (M.Ed, Ed.S)

Allison is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with nearly a decade experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both educational and private practice settings. She brings with her a myriad of experience with crisis intervention, special education consultation, social-emotional support, and parent education skills.

Allison specializes in Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, and Autism in children and adolescents. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and takes a play-based and activity approach to therapy, when appropriate, including games and role-plays. With her special education background, Allison is able to seamlessly communicate with schools and coordinate therapeutic services.

With adults, Allison takes a special interest in empowering women through an Existential-Humanistic approach that is strengths-based and positive. This approach focuses on the here and now, while also addressing how past traumas and experiences continue to affect today’s reality. Allison strives to ensure that the counseling relationship is a safe space for all of her clients to share and grow to their greatest potential.

Allison is a licensed school psychologist and holds a Masters degree in Educational Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Loyola University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently pursuing her LPC license with a certificate in Couples and Family Therapy at Northeastern Illinois University.

When not working, Allison has many creative outlets including performing in musical productions, producing children’s theatre shows, going to pilates, reading, and playing with her dog, Leonard. She is also a wedding planner and day-of coordinator in the Chicagoland area.

Roxana Kolber


Therapist (MSW)

Roxana is a Therapist at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with a deep passion for supporting youth and adolescent populations. She has extensive experience in individual therapy and working with diverse clients to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Roxana was most recently a Child and Adolescent Therapist at the Association for Individual Development (AID), where she has provided therapy since 2021. She uses a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to treat mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.

Roxana excels in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans that are tailored to each client’s unique needs. She works collaboratively with families, school social workers, psychiatrists, and other professionals to provide holistic care that empowers her clients.

Roxana holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. In addition to her clinical experience, she has supported early childhood development through internships at All Stars Project of Chicago and Chicago Commons, where she empowered young children and adolescents to build confidence and meet developmental goals.

Fluent in Polish, she brings cultural sensitivity and a collaborative approach to all her therapeutic work, ensuring her clients feel supported in their journey to wellness.

Outside of therapy, Roxana enjoys spending time with family, reading, and exploring creative outlets. 

Halle Devoe


Therapist (MA, LPC)

Halle joins Trisha Johnson Therapy Group as a dedicated therapist with a passion for helping individuals heal, grow, and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency in their mental health journey. With a Master’s in Human Development Counseling (Mental Clinical Health Counseling) from the University of Illinois-Springfield, Halle specializes in working with a wide range of clients, utilizing her background in sports psychology and a strong commitment to personal and professional growth.

Halle has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Aurora University, and her clinical background includes counseling college students at the UIS Counseling Center, as well as providing therapy and support at Gateway Rehabilitation Center. Her work with diverse populations is further enriched by her volunteerism with AmeriCorps and the Special Olympics.

A former collegiate basketball player on a full scholarship at McKendree University, Halle brings leadership, flexibility, and a multicultural perspective to her practice. She strives to collaborate with clients in a warm and approachable manner, helping them find the strength to navigate their mental health challenges.

Outside of therapy, Halle enjoys staying active, teaching, and spending time with her family and community.

Jetze Rojas


Clinical Manager (MSW, LCSW)

Jetze serves as the Clinical Manager at Trisha Johnson Therapy Group, where she oversees the therapeutic team while continuing to provide direct care to her clients. With a strong background in community mental health and trauma-informed care, Jetze is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certified in addiction counseling (AODA/CADC) and as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level 2). Fluent in Spanish, she brings cultural sensitivity and a diverse skill set to her work, specializing in addictions, trauma, and perinatal mental health.

Prior to joining Trisha Johnson Therapy Group, Jetze worked as a Behavioral Health Clinician at the Kendall County Health Department, where she facilitated evidence-based therapeutic interventions and promoted mental health education within the community. Her experience also includes case management for individuals experiencing homelessness at Hesed House in Aurora, Illinois, and clinical work at Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital.

Jetze holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University, with a specialization in addictions. Her commitment to advocacy and mental health helps to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all clients.

Outside of her professional commitments, Jetze enjoys spending time with family and friends, continually seeking opportunities to further her expertise in mental health and trauma.

TR Johnson


Managing Director

TR co-founded Trisha Johnson Therapy Group with Trisha in January of 2020. He manages all aspects of the day to day business and is here to assist you with billing, scheduling, and any other questions you may have about the practice.

Prior to joining Trisha Johnson Therapy Group full-time, TR spent 15 years in the professional sports industry, most recently as the Associate Vice President of Ticket Sales & Strategy for Chicago Fire Football Club. Before that, TR held multiple ticket sales and service roles within the Chicago Blackhawks front office where he won three Stanley Cups with the organization.

TR holds a Master's degree in Sports Management and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Northern Illinois University.
